Money Grows On Trees*

Jesus tells the Jewish leader, Nicodemus: “No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.  . . . Truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, they cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

John 3:3,5

Notes for Contemplation as You Use this Devotional:

  • In this mystical passage by the Gospel Writer Called John, from the section sometimes titled, “The New Birth,” Jesus teaches Nicodemus that he must be willing to express the kingdom of God as his divine soul self, the Christ. Furthermore, Jesus says, no one reaches that kingdom unless they let Spirit lead the way.
  • Jesus is a mystic, master teacher, healer, and wayshower for multitudes because he fully embodies his absolute divinity. He always aligns himself with God (Higher Power, Supreme Being, Divine Life Energy, etc.). He knows that God’s kingdom is expressed through him.  He also understands that God can’t be manipulated because God isn’t a capricious puppeteer.  Rather, God is the Sources, Substance, and Sustenance of all creation.  God acts through you, based on your consciousness (mindset).
  • Water represents both the substance you are (humans are about 75% water) and the substance that purifies you. The Spirit, or Holy Spirit, is the divine activity of God. Holy Spirit is often revealed to you through your intuition, insight, and imagination.  Being born again is being spiritually reincarnated.  You can be reborn anytime visualize and imagine your life in new ways.
  • Money growing on trees symbolizes the combined power of your imagination and the activity of Holy Spirit. Unity Minister and Master Teacher Rev. Martha Giudici taught that your imagination, your “picturing power,” can prosper you as you align it with positive, affirmative thoughts. So, when you visualize your desires, you must be clear about what you want.  Otherwise you may demonstrate what someone else believes is best for you.
  • Demonstration is your evidence of how well your life works. If you want to live more abundantly, affirm that you are one of God’s divine beloveds, just as Jesus was. Be willing to be spiritual reincarnated.  By imagining what you want now, you visualize (imagine) your best.  Then you let your intuition guide you as you discern your next best steps to prosperity.

Contemplation Questions:

As you reflect on your life and circumstances, ask yourself:

  • What do I envision (imagine) for my life now?
    • List, word map, treasure map, or illustrate all you imagine.
  • What does my intuition tell me to do now?
    • List, word map, or illustrate all your guidance.
  • What are at least three (3) ways I can follow my guidance now?
    • List, word map, or illustrate as much as you can.

As you use this devotional, be assured that you can imagine things differently now, right where you are.  Whether you want more money; harmonious, loving relationships; a healthy physique; fulfilling work or service; or anything else, know that you have the inner power to discern what’s best for you.  As Rev. Martha said, “You can truly picture your way out of problems into success.”  So, imagine all the abundance you desire now, and let Holy Spirit do its divine work through you.  Affirm often, as Rev. Martha did: “My picturing power of imagination prospers me now.”
