“God which dwells within me does the work.”

John 14:10

Some Ideas to Contemplate:

  • This wisdom from Jesus—master teacher, healer, and wayshower—reminds you that your divine soul self, your God imprint, the Christ, can run your life.  Through the Christ, the same essence Jesus had, you are guided to achieve, heal, prosper, and thrive in all the ways that are best for you.
  • In his classic teaching, The Golden Key, Emmet Fox teaches that you are a conduit through which God (Higher Power, Universal Supreme Energy) works.  So, no matter what challenges you may experience, you are to focus all your energy and attention on God, not on the challenge.  This is called “golden-keying,” meaning you let God be the key to the solution.  You do not try to determine solutions for yourself, convince other people of your correct position, or control the matter in any way.
  • Emmet Fox says that no matter what you may be facing, the most important thing to do is to get yourself “out of the way and let the work be done.”  When you choose to golden-key a situation, you are single-minded, with all your attention on God.  You affirm perfect outcome, positively, in the present tense by saying something like: “God is in the midst of this situation.”  “God is working this out now.”  “All is being well, and I am letting it be so.”  “My golden key unlocks the door to the absolute best now.”

Practices for the Week:

  • Set the intention that no matter what troubles you face, you are focusing on God.
  • As soon as you notice yourself worrying or trying to force a solution, redirect your energy toward God and restate your affirmation.  Be compassionate with yourself, and do this as often as needed.
  • Illustrate, journal, and/or record all the solutions revealed when you stay out of the way.

You are a spiritual being with a radiant soul, living in a sacred body temple, having human experiences.  Remember that God can only do for you what God can do through you.  So, as Emmet Fox says, whatever the trouble, “just stop thinking about it, and think of God instead — that is all you have to do.”
