Your light will break through like the dawn and your healing will come quickly. Your virtue will precede you, and the Lord will be your compass.

Isaiah 58:8

Some Ideas to Contemplate:

  • This passage from the Prophet Isaiah reminds us that God (Higher Power, Supreme Being, etc.) is the Source, Substance, and Sustenance of our lives, guiding us in every way, as we allow it. Whenever a prophet shares a message in sacred literature, we’re encouraged to deepen our faith and view life from a new, positive direction.
  • The light the prophet describes isn’t to be sought outside ourselves. It’s the inner light of clarity and assurance, an Ah-Ha Moment that can occur anytime, anywhere.  Sometimes it may occur as bells and whistles, though often it is subtle and gentle.  However we experience our Ah-Ha, we usually feel a sense of comfort and trust that defies description.
  • Guidance may reveal continuity, that whatever we’re doing, we can keep going. Yet, it also may reveal a beginning, an ending, a pause, or a redirection.  As we release all “should’s” and “have-to’s” about how our lives must be, we let our best path unfold for us.  When we recognize our guidance, whatever it is, we know what to do and we do it with ease, grace, and peace of mind.

Practices for the Week:

  • Set your intention and focus your energy on turning within to listen to your own still, small voice, your intuition.
  • Affirm that everything you need to know and do is being revealed to you on your sacred timetable.
  • Illustrate, journal, and/or record all your guidance. Then discern how you will follow through.

Remember that you are a spiritual being with a radiant soul, living in a sacred body temple, having human experiences.  Even if you can’t see every curve on the path, trust your intuition.  Stay grounded in knowing that you’re being shown what to do next.  As much as possible, avoid worrying about the future or ruminating about the past, so you can be present to all the good unfolding for you now.
