In Luke 8:15, Jesus encourages us to “bring forth fruit with patience.” What a powerful, wise directive about having faith in our demonstrations, especially in this fast-paced culture!
Anyone who has ever planted a garden, or merely tried growing basil on a kitchen windowsill, knows that everything grows in its own way and time. Energetically, we burn ourselves out by gritting our teeth in upset or perseverating about all life’s possible outcomes. Although focusing on manifestation (making things happen) seems spiritually significant, often the easier method is allowing things to unfold on their own, trusting in divine order for our absolute best.
Remember: Our subconscious mind is like a recording device. It only know what we tell it. So, we can tell ourselves we are forcing our gardens to grow, raging about droughts and pests, and complaining that the process takes too long. Or we can let Spirit do Its wondrous work in and through us. Then, we can peacefully nurture the ground, fertilize with gratitude, weed with gentleness, water with lovingkindness, and enjoy the fruits of our tranquil, relaxed attitude.
