“Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace because they trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3
Notes for Contemplation as You Use this Devotional:
- In this passage from the Prophet Isaiah, in the section often titled, “Trust in God’s Provision and Protection,” the prophet describes the spiritual maturity of those who trust God’s divine timing.
- For some people, seeking and striving are their own occupation, a lifelong goal of searching, but never actually discovering. Others may hang on too tight, attempt to be experts at multi-tasking, or try to steer the Universe to accommodate their own personal schedule.
- But when you embrace your God essence—your soul power—you don’t suffer or struggle. You no longer attempt to force square pegs into round holes or relive a past that ended long ago. You discern what to relinquish, leave for later, or let others do instead. You are at peace, knowing what to do and when.
- Being steadfast means you are faithful to the results you desire. You don’t waver and change your mind. Nor do you force things to happen. You envision (imagine) what you want and feel an inner assurance and confidence. This way you can appreciate the gentle, good humor of life and allow divine order—the sustaining energy of the Universe—to unfold for you.
- In his 1963 book, Soul Power, longtime Unity minister, teacher, and writer, Rev. Ernest C. Wilson teaches: When you express your soul power, “no one thing alone . . . accomplishes the desired result.” However, “the ability to relax is the answer to most of the tensions and strains that always seem, at least, to come from the world about us.”
- Demonstration is your evidence of how well your life works. When you relax, you can flow in peace, with ease and grace. You trust your intuition, as you direct your energy and intentions in life-affirming, life-sustaining ways.
Contemplation Questions:
Ask yourself:
- When I attune to my intuition,
- what do I know can rest?
- List, word map, or illustrate whatever applies.
- what do I know I can do now?
- List, word map, or illustrate whatever applies.
- what do I know can rest?
- When I reflect on the outcome I desire, what is the best I imagine?
- List, word map, or illustrate as much as you imagine.
- What are at least three (3) ways I can relax my efforts and allow my best to unfold?
- List, word map, or illustrate as much as you imagine.
As you use this devotional, remember that your energy flows from your thoughts and intentions. So, don’t force outcomes that might work. Trust in the absolute best for you and any loved ones in your care. Stay open to living on God’s calendar, in the divine flow of time, rather than on the human one. Trust your intuition and act as you are guided. Especially, relax into the beauty and wonder around you and enjoy letting your best unfold.
